Reinhardt-Anderson Takes Tourney with a net of 53.7. The mixed doubles team of Pam Reinhardt and Dave Anderson bested everyone on Friday, June 27th, at the Barracks Golf Course in Plattsburgh with a net score of 53.7; second over all (first in Men’s) was Demers-Smith with 56.0.

The tournament format remained the same: a two-person scramble with net prizes only. There were three divisions: one for men, one for women, and one mixed followed by an all-you-can-eat “Michigans and Much More” buffet.

All participants in this year’s edition of the McSweeney’s/Mission of Hopesm Golf Classic received a free set of three wedges from Warrior Golf of California: a lob wedge, a sand wedge, and a gap wedge. The tournament also featured a silent auction and raffles made up of many North Country products and handcrafted items from Nicaragua.

All proceeds from the tournament continue to go to the North Country Mission of Hope’s^SM “Children Feeding Children” Program. Last year, the Program fed over 600 children each day of the school year. Thanks to Don and Connie Miller for all of their efforts on this outstanding signature fundraiser for the Mission!

The aftermath of Hurricane Alba was evident in Managua when Mission #28 visited. Below bridges are being washed out in the pouring rain, a gully is being created on this street corner about 15-20 feet deep, and you can almost hear the power of the rushing water as you view the break in the line.

On Sunday, June first, the drawing was held… and the winners are below. All of the proceeds from this raffle are going to the Mission’s Children Feeding Children Project. Last year with the money raised through ticket sales, there were 20,000 meals provided to the children in Chiquilistagua, Nicaragua.
