The North Country Mission of Hope was very excited to learn that its Executive Director, Sister Deborah A. Blow, O.P., received an Honorary Doctor of Humanities Degree from Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island on May 18, 2009. Sister Debbie has supported the mission since its inception in 1998 and has been its first and only Executive Director.

Bonnie Black, President of the North Country Mission of Hope stated “It is indeed impressive how far and wide Sister Debbie has spread the message about our organization. She has grown the scope of our mission

from a local community effort to an internationally-supported team with almost 1,000 mission volunteers. We could not be happier for Sister Debbie and we are very proud of her accomplishments and all that she does for the North Country Mission of Hope.” The Citation was announced at the College’s ninety-first commencement.
