Have you considered going on a mission trip but have reservations about going outside the U.S.? The North Country Mission of Hope is now accepting inquiries and applications for our third domestic mission trip to the Appalachia region of southeast Kentucky from August 9th - 15th, 2025.

The mission trip is in conjunction with the Christian Appalachian Project, a spiritually based non-profit mission and relief organization in Martin, Kentucky.

The mission opportunity is open to anyone 14 and older. It is a wonderful experience for students to expand their worldview, for parents or grandparents and children to bond over a shared service experience, or for you to open your hearts and answer the call to serve others, which we were all created.

The mission projects are focused on rehabilitating and making emergency repairs to the homes of elderly or economically disadvantaged individuals and families living in the Appalachian region.

We understand that this work may push you out of your comfort zone; however, the program is excellent at matching your skills with appropriate projects and helping mission participants feel comfortable while expanding their skill sets.

While work and location are essential to the mission experience, they are only pieces of the whole. After participating in over twenty mission trips, both abroad and domestically, I remember the bonds, shared experiences, and relationships formed with those I served alongside and those we served most. They have enriched and changed my life. If you ask most people about their mission trip experiences, they will share similar sentiments.

We would love for you to share this experience this year.
